How to Close the Deal

So you were at a bar last night and you met a girl. You talked with her for a while, you laughed, the two of you really seemed to hit it off. But, for whatever reason, you weren't able to talk her into coming back to your apartment with you to "help you finish off the case off beer in your fridge."

Don't worry about it. It happens. This just means that you have some more work to do. You did get her number, right? Or maybe an e-mail? Good. Because without one of those, you're kind of forced to do what the authorities call "stalking," and that always tends to end badly.

While, in some scenarios, an innocent text message the morning after meeting a woman can be quite effective, the best tactic in the art of seduction is still the old-fashioned phone call. There are no hard-and-fast rules when it comes to how long to wait before calling. If it feels appropriate, call her the next day. Or two days later. Any more than a week, though, and you're probably ruining your own chances.
